Ron FaucheuxRon Faucheux is a former Louisiana state legislator, Louisiana State Secretary of Commerce, and publisher and editor of Campaigns & Elections magazine. Immediately prior to serving as the Chief of Staff for Senator Landrieu, Faucheux was the Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), where he managed federal, state and local government activities for the 77,000-member, 150-year-old group, and led AIA’s presentation on the Louisiana Recovery and Rebuilding Conference in New Orleans. Faucheux managed former Senator John Breaux’s first successful campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1972, and was himself elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives at age 25. Representing the now hurricane-devastated New Orleans East community, he served in the state House for eight years and won reelection twice. His fellow legislators at the time included Sen. Landrieu, Congressmen Richard Baker, R-Baton Rouge, and Bill Jefferson, D-New Orleans, and former Congressman Billy Tauzin, R-Chackbay. Faucheux later served as the state’s Secretary of Commerce.

Ron Faucheux in ActionAs a political consultant, Faucheux handled 116 campaigns in 11 states and came to Washington in 1993 as publisher and editor of Campaigns & Elections magazine, a position he held for 10 years. Faucheux holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of New Orleans. He teaches at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management and Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute, and is the author or editor of several popular books on politics, including Running for Office, Winning Elections and The Debate Book.

Today, Ron Faucheux is one of America’s top political and public affairs analysts.  Since the early 1990s, he’s made over 350 national television appearances and has anchored his own national cable TV news show. His network appearances have included the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, The Lou Dobbs Show on CNN, ABC’s Nightline, NBC’s The Today Show and ABC’s Good Morning America.

He’s trained thousands of political candidates, issue advocates, corporate executives and association leaders. The campaign "message development" process he created has been used successfully by many campaigns, large and small, around the world.
